Nordic Wines

Nordic Wines (South Africa) was established in January 2007 by Wiggo Andersen from Norway and Peter Tillman from South Africa to release the wine label from Wedgewood, Wiggo’s winefarm in the Paardeberg region between Paarl and Malmesbury.

Early in 2008, they worked with Norwegians Morten Valstad and Inger Lise Nesttun at the Cape Town Convention Centre in the successful Norwegian bid to host the 2012/2013 Olympic Ski Jumping Championships.

It was during this time of campaigning and celebrating that their plans took fruition to expand the business to include exporting South African wines. In February 2009, Nordic Wines (Norway) was established in the quaint Norwegian town of Vikersund, home of the world-class ski jumping hill.

Since then 8 cellars have been included in their export portfolio, as well as items made from oak wine barrels. The four directors then turned their attention to other Scandinavian countries, and currently deal with agents in Norway, Sweden and Finland.
